On December 2 deadmau5 unleashes his sixth studio album W:/2016ALBUM/ (pronounced as ‘w drive 2016 album’), the first release as an independent artist via his own label mau5trap. ‘4Ware‘ is another taste of what’s to come. Premiered by Pete Tong on BBC1, the epic 8 min prog house tune draws influence from his classic cut “Faxing Berlin”.
“There’s an ’80s, sci-fi, fantasy film vibe to some of the melodies,” deadmau5 told Tong, “I think that’s due to my purchase of a Prophet 10 [synthesiser]. When you’re drawn to that instrument, you’re drawn to that kind of vibe.”
This is classic mau5 sound!
