Everything we’ve heard from L’Tric has been straight out of the top draw and their latest offering ‘Why’ is no different. The duo out of Melbourne have dropped track after impressive track, showcasing their house music chops on records like “This Feeling”, “1994”, “The Beach” and “The Way You Are”. They’ve managed to hit the airwaves with the likes of Pete Tong & Danny Howard, topped the US Billboard Dance, UK and Australian Club Charts and been supported by the world’s top jocks – all within a relatively short timeframe.
But if you thought their last release, “The Way You Are” was their most infectious track ever, wait until you hear this! “Why” is the perfect way to wrap the northern hemisphere summer and kick off the party season ahead Downunder with its special mix of flirty, throwback house that only L’Tric can provide.
Breathing new life into Carly Simon‘s Nile Rodgers & Bernard Edwards produced, 1982 hit, L’Tric manage to maintain that old-school-meets-new-school balance, evident in all their previous releases. The original song, first written for the film ‘Soup For One’ only really gained cult status in the club scene after it re-surfaced on the Ibiza “Hacienda” scene, 7 years after its initial release, cementing its status as a Balearic classic.
The Reggae/Disco infusion and classic house percussion proves to be a knockout combo, guaranteed to entice four-on-the-floor veterans and newcomers alike.
