Let’s face it, the mystery surrounding Daft Punk, is actually not that mysterious. If you want to know their real names, just type into google, “what are the real names of Daft Punk.” If you want to know what they look like without their helmets on, type their real names in google images. Who Sampled, will tell you…who they have sampled. IMDB will tell you what movies they have scored. If you really work at it, I even think you could find out how they like their coffee.
Cue our mysterious new act. You will not find one photo, one real name, not even a whiff of coffee will put u on the trail of the enigma that is Terace. You may find (him/her/them/they/it) to not be very good at spelling, but this is not a spelling bee. It’s not a bee hunt either, it’s a dj promo – so enough of the waffle.
Running, the first single from Terace (with one r), is both naive and polished, cheeky and charming. It’s a love story, in a piano house song, in a baseline, in an array of toms and synth stabs. It works in the headphones and in the club.
But which club? Well, Sweat darlings rep hard here with Adapt or Die taking it to Paris for a bit of that nu-wave techno that’s infiltrating our shores, Indian Summer get all wonky 2 steppy on us, Harris Robotis goes deep acid tech cool ass, Go Freek, fresh off their Boys Noise endorsed last remix for Sweat, add that industrial edge and finally, The Only, darlings of the main room, lift the piano from the original and get busy, making this a weapon that will work as well as those ones that u only play because they work and not because you really like them (you will like this one).
*Denoucement – Sorry, we can’t provide one, just trust us that Terace will not always remain a mystery. And u will enjoy the results.
